Here is my sink fountain, showing one day only. Made of broken martini glasses that fell off the shelf at Ferry Road, and burnt glasses found in a fire pit after a party. I luv living in share houses, glasses breaking all the time, silly people dropping wine glasses in fire pits.

Makes my glass full thinking of all the special people I’ve lived with where glasses and washing the dishes become a ritual you share, hands deep in warm water as you tell each other about your day.

⛲️Houses cycle lots of water, showering, washing up, flushing the toilet. In a year where floods have destroyed so much, we are reminded that water is a powerful and scary force, but also something that we use everyday, and completely rely on. It’s a scary and uneasy time we live in, so cherish those gentle moments of listening to your housemate as they wash the dishes 🚰⛲️

Sink Fountain

broken martini and wine glasses, hot glue, wire, plaster of paris, pond pumps

Shower Fountain

fish tanks, found shower head, found tap, ash glazed tiles, pond pumps

EXHIBITION CATALOGUE

POTENTIALLY EVENTUALLY:

Home and Other Things is an informal, some may say DIY, art show held at a residential (rental) property in nipaluna/Hobart. Bringing emerging and established Tassie artists together to show work which responds to the theme of home (and other things - for a little creative freedom).

Come have a wander through the house and see what's on offer. There will be beverages available for a donation and fingers crossed the sun will be shining. Some work will be for sale with all funds going to the artist and no commission taken.
